TMI Introduces New Lab Master Slip and Friction Tester
Testing Machines Inc. is pleased to introduce the TMI Lab Master Slip and Friction Testing System. It is designed to precisely determine friction characteristics for paper, packaging, coatings, plastic, rubber and other industries. Additionally, a peel attachment is available for 180° release or adhesion measurements.
The Lab Master System puts the solution to all of your testing needs at your fingertips. It contains a high speed data acquisition system to locate and accurately capture the static peak. A specially designed force measuring system minimizes the inertial effects of the sled, providing the most accurate and repeatable static friction measurements in the industry.
A computer-controlled elevator system removes operator variability from the test procedure by automatically lowering the sled at a repeatable rate, positioning it accurately, timing the delay between contact and test start, and raising the sled before its forward motion stops at the end of the test.
User-defined test methods, reports, and analysis allow you to pre-select test speed, delay time, and test distance, and to choose from a customizable library of sleds using actual weights and dimensions. Units are displayed in either gram force or Coefficient of Friction (CFO), and speeds and travel distance are selectable. Once selected, these parameters will be automatically set for the operator. The system is networkable and has the capacity to create multiple databases for your varied applications.
Visual prompts guide the user through the test cycle with graphic images and touch screen simplicity.
