Testing Machines Inc. Announces Lab Master Surface Softness Tester
Expands Line of Softness Testing Equipment
Testing Machines Inc. introduces the Lab Master Surface Softness Tester, a major advance over existing softness evaluation methods. Developed in conjunction with a major tissue manufacturer, the Lab Master Surface Softness Tester produces an immediate, operator-independent Softness Index that correlates with sensory panel evaluations of softness. The touch-screen monitor displays a graph of surface measurements for additional insight into softness properties.
The Lab Master Surface Softness Tester allows manufacturers and specifiers of tissue, textile and nonwoven products control to measure softness to an objective standard in both process and R&D applications. The Lab Master Surface Softness Tester complements the Lab Master Softness Tester, announced earlier this year, which generates a Softness Index from precise measurements of bulking thickness and compressibility.
