Dynamic Modulus Tester PPM-5R from Lawson-Hemphill

February 2007 – Lawson-Hemphill is releasing its "Dynamic Modulus Tester PPM-5R”. It’s a complete system that measures the velocity of the sonic pulses in materials such as fibers, tapes and papers. The accurate measurement of the sound velocity between the transducers results in correct and repeatable dynamic modulus of elasticity. Some important features of this tester include:
- Digital display of the sonic velocity
- User friendly software program that calculates the dynamic modulus automatically
- Maintaining a uniform quality level
- Non-destructive testing for most materials
- Quick information feedback
- Small, table-top instrument
- Detect changes in polymer formula.
- Evaluation of experimental materials.
Applications include fibers, tapes, non wovens, yarns, polyester, nylon, spandex, elastomeric, monofilament, carbon fiber and glass fiber.
