RK PRINT COAT INSTRUMENTS ESIPROOF AND FLEXIPROOF ON SHOW AT LABELEXPO HALL 11/P65
Sample preparation system and coating technology specialist RK Print Coat Instruments Ltd will show a variety of flexo colour communication systems and equipment from booth P65 that they are sharing with their US distributor – Testing Machines Inc.
RK products on show include the award winning FlexiProof 100 and for producers and users of UV flexo inks – the FlexiProof UV. These competitively priced, highly functional bench top systems are being used by label printing companies, leading packaging groups, ink manufacturers and many others. Tom Kerchiss, RK’s Managing Director says that what all purchasers have in common is that they are engaged in the production or use of flexo inks and all are committed to obtaining quality in their processes.
Due to the design and system configuration both the FlexiProof 100 and FlexiProof UV offer multi-tasking capabilities. Systems enable users to colour match off-press; provide accurate customer presentation samples, monitor ink/substrate interaction over time, determine printability, trial new jobs and undertake R & D, etc.
A scaled down but component exact version of a typical flexographic production press, both the FlexiProof 100 and FlexiProof UV also provide production efficiencies, enabling users to conduct pilot runs and colour match off-press, saving on-press waste and freeing up the production press for the business of generating profit. Resolving problems with ink off press also reduces downtime later on.
The FlexiProof UV offers identical benefits to the original FlexiProof 100, the only difference is that the former includes an integral miniaturised UV curing system so that printing/proofing/curing can be undertaken in-line.
A hand held device, the Esiproof is available for busy production plants. This precision unit is an ideal trouble-shooting tool enabling users to take proofs from multiple presses on the fly. Although not much bigger than a man’s hand it incorporates an anilox roller, EPDM stereo rollers and doctor blade. The Esiproof enables users to obtain realistic high quality proofs of up to 1 metre in length. The use of a doctor blade permits the proofing of all flexo inks including, high viscosity UV curable inks.This very accurate tool can be supplied with ceramic laser engraved rollers from 140 to 800 cells per linear inch or with mechanically engraved steel (QCH-type screen) and chrome plated anilox rollers.
RK Print Coat Instruments provide colour communication technology for all the major print processes. The Paste Ink Proofer is a state-of-the art system for letterpress and litho ink producers/users; systems such as the Printing Proofer can be used for flexo, gravure, gravure-offset, and even wet or dry laminating duties. Not only that, unique systems such as the Rotary Koater or bespoke VCM offer the ultimate in user flexibility in that users can choose from more than 15 different print and coating head technologies. Versatility extends to the fact that systems dry by hot air and infrared or cure via UV.
