Testing Machines Inc introduces the SL-5 PLC Heat Sealer

Testing Machines is releasing the "SL-5 PLC Heater Sealer". The SL5 is an extremely accurate heat sealer designed to enhance heated crimp seals for the flexible packaging industry. The PLC controlled heat sealer, with its touch screen and accurate sealing ability is easy to operate. By simply changing the values on the touch screen which include, sample size, pressure, temperature and dwell time, the operator can quickly change the variables from test to test. The SL5 insures sealing consistency for each sample. The built-in dual-load cells measure the actual force applied to the film. The PLC controlled temperature is assured to ± 1.1°C (± 2°F) across the entire width of the film sample.
The SL5 stores the test results which can be easily recalled and viewed. The optional communications port allows the operator to quickly communicate test results for reporting purposes.
Some important features of this tester include:
- Direct-touch color screen
- PLC controlled pressure, temperature and dwell time
- Independent upper and lower sealing temperatures
- Dual-load cell design for accurate and consistent sealing surface pressures
- Measures actual dwell time on the sealing sample
- Stores data for each test run
- One pair of Quick-Change Seal Jaw Inserts (5 to 12 inches long) with desired seal pattern.
- The quick-change seal jaw inserts allow the operator to change the sealing pattern in a matter of minutes without having to change heaters or wiring.
- Safety guards and switches for safe operation.
- Case with hardware
